Following our study of The Five Remembrances, Norman & Jaune will lead us through a Sejiki Ceremony at the end of this evening’s Dharma Seminar.
Sejiki is a traditional Japanese Zen Buddhist ceremony for the spirits of departed ones. This powerful ceremony summons forth all restless spirits and pacifies agitation and violence within and without.
The Sejiki Ceremony includes a reading of the names of close friends and family members who have died. Names on our Safe Passage list, which we have been chanting during the last year or so, will be included automatically. We also invite sangha members to add the names of deceased family, friends, and sangha relations who have died recently or long ago. Please use the form below.
