Monday May 18 – Sunday May 24, 2026
Villa Maria del Mar & Online via Zoom
Online Registration Closes: Thu, May 14 at 6:30 pm (PT)
We’re pleased to again be offering our annual sesshin online via Zoom, sitting together for six days with the in-person sangha at Villa Maria del Mar in Santa Cruz.
Before registering, please review the Bay Area Sesshin 2026 page, paying special attention to the section for Online Participants including Norman’s Notes on Sesshin (adapted for Zoom).
Online participants follow the same schedule as the in-person sangha, but meals, walking meditation, and work practice will be taken offline. At the same time, we recognize that not everyone will be able to follow the sesshin schedule fully or in sync with the in-person sangha.
We’re pleased to have three volunteer Zoom hosts this year, and to offer group practice discussion with senior teachers for online participants.
This year we’re also offering an online orientation for online participants on the evening of arrival day, Monday, May 18, at 5:00 pm PT. Attendance is strongly encouraged.
A Welcome email with links to Zoom and a shared resources page — including suggestions for setting up your practice space — will be sent to participants on the Friday before sesshin begins.
The suggested donation for joining the sesshin online is $150. Please give what you can to support Norman and his teachings and the increased costs to Everyday Zen of offering this sesshin online via Zoom.
