The priests and teachers of Everyday Zen are planning to again offer a class on the Zen precepts this fall, tentatively beginning in November. This will be the fourth year the precepts class has been offered, with small changes each year. For reference, here is an overview and description of last year’s class: Introductory Precepts Class 2025–26
The precepts class is open to anyone who wishes to study the precepts and deepen their practice of them, not only people who are sewing a rakusu for an upcoming Jukai or lay ordination ceremony.
The schedule and format of this year’s offering will depend partly on how much interest there is in the sangha, so the organizers would like to hear from you.
If you are or might be interested, please complete the short poll (below) to let the organizers know whether you would enroll, how often you would prefer to have the class meet, and what start time works best for you.
Please respond by Sunday, October 11, to give the organizers time to prepare. If you have questions, please email contact@everydayzen.org and put “PRECEPTS CLASS” in the title.
Information on the class will be announced in the November News & Events newsletter. Thank you!
