Each meeting will focus on an individual precept that we take into our daily lives and then come together for reflection and conversation. These meetings are for anyone who wishes to make a commitment to regular attendance and participation in the classes.

Although this class may be good preparation for Jukai, taking this step and sewing a rakusu is a decision made between each student and their respective teacher.

While this class is designed as an introduction to the precepts, it is appropriate for anyone who wishes to deepen their practice of the precepts. Throughout Zen practice, we are encouraged to study the precepts ongoingly as a centerpiece to our life.

Participants will be invited to keep a precepts journal.

This is not a drop-in group. Registration for the series is now closed.
