Please join us in person at the Community Congregational Church in Tiburon or online via Zoom for our annual ceremony honoring the life and practice of Mahaprajapati, the first Buddhist nun and second mother of the Buddha.
Led this year by Jaune Evans, Chris Fortin, Kathie Fischer, and ARobin Orden, with Anlor Davin as kokyo, this annual ceremony retells the dramatic moments when Mahapajapati and an entourage of her women followers sought full admission as women into the Buddha’s sangha, and honors all our women ancestors.
The ceremony will take place at the end of Dharma Seminar, in person at the Church and online on the same Zoom link as Seminar. Please, everyone attending in person, bring flowers for the altar. Thank you!
