Dharma Dialogue: Practice in Motion

November 8 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm PST

Taking the zazen body into every moment

A one-day, in-person gathering led by Karen Roeper (Insight Meditation), Jane Flint (Everyday Zen), and senior Everyday Zen dharma teacher Mary Ann Sacksteder.

On Sunday, November 8, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm PST, join others in zazen practice, guided movement, embodied experiences, journaling and dialogue in small groups. Discover how the body can assist us in making everyday transitions between our sitting practice and our presence in the ever-changing real world.

“In this deep dialogue between the body and movement, you move past what constrains you to find the courage to be in the world as who you truly are.”

About Dharma Dialogues

Where people meet in person and practice meets the world.

Dharma Dialogues are intimate, occasional, in-person gatherings of .practitioners in the Everyday Zen sangha and the broader Suzuki Roshi lineage. They offer a chance to come together for a day to learn from Everyday Zen teachers and each other about a specific topic or concern, and to explore how our practices can inform and enrich our lives in an ever-changing, often challenging world.

Dharma Dialogues are held throughout the Bay Area. They are often inspired by topics or concerns that arise in daily life, and are announced in the Everyday Zen newsletter about a month before each event.

Dana

Your donations make it possible for teachers to teach

Dana is an offering to a teacher in gratitude for their time and teachings. Dana for Dharma Dialogue teachers will be collected on-site.

To receive information on upcoming seminars and other events, please subscribe to the Everyday Zen News & Events mailing list. Watch for monthly emails near the start of each month listing upcoming events and linking to event pages here on the website.
