August 2021 All-Day Sitting

August 28, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm PDT

Saturday, August 28
One Day Retreat, led by Chris Fortin on Zoom

Green Gulch remains closed to large group gatherings and we continue to honor Marin County’s Shelter-in-Place order and social distancing. Therefore, this month’s All Day Sit will again be held on Zoom. It will include meditation, service and chanting, a break for lunch, a dharma talk, and dokusan (private meeting with Norman).

The sitting begins at 9:00 am and ends at 4:00 pm. A detailed schedule of the day can be found in the invitation, sent to the EDZ All-Day Sitting mailing list a week or two before the sitting (see below).

To Register
No registration is required. However, due to our Zoom licensing restrictions, the sitting will be limited to 100 participants. Our Inos will open the Zoom meeting room at 8:45 am. Please arrive early to ensure a place.

To Join the Zoom Meeting Room
Because of privacy and security concerns with the Zoom platform, we are distributing the Zoom link and password for this event in the invitation sent to our mailing list.

To Receive an Invitation
Invitations to our All-Day Sittings are sent 1-3 weeks in advance, depending on circumstances. For online sittings, we typically send them one week in advance. The invitation to this All Day Sit provides details on the day, including the schedule, links to the chants, information on requesting dokusan, suggestions for dana, instructions for joining the Zoom meeting room, and a message from Norman. Please visit the Mailing Lists page, sign up for the News & Events list, and subscribe to All-Day Sittings.

Suggested Donation: $80 – $100

Thank you! We look forward to sitting with you.
