Hybrid Hybrid Event

One Day Retreat Led by Norman

January All-Day Sitting, Opening of Practice Period, and Shuso Entering Ceremony

“The pure body of the dharma realm fundamentally has no emerging or disappearing.”

Please join us in person at Green Gulch Farm or on Zoom for this special hybrid all-day sitting. The day begins at 9:00 am (PT) with a brief orientation followed by sitting and walking meditation throughout the day.

The annual practice period (marking two months of more intensive devotion to practice) will officially begin with a traditional ceremony that marks the shuso (head student) taking their official seat in the meditation hall.

Please note that lunch is not included this month. Attendees are requested to bring a bag lunch.

For those sitting with us at Green Gulch Farm, please arrive at the zendo no later than 8:45 am so that you can store your things, be checked in by the registrars, and settled in your seat by 8:55 am.

Space is limited. Registration opens Jan 1st. Please register as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Covid protocols on the registration page include a vaccination form that must be submitted. For registration questions, please contact the Green Gulch Farm events office at 415-354-0360.
