If you have been participating in our Practice Period, please join us online via Zoom for Pravarana, a ceremony of confession and purification.
Pravarana, traditionally performed at the end of Practice Period, is a ceremony in which everyone confesses their shortcomings during Practice Period and begs forgiveness. It is mentioned in Dogen’s fascicle on Ango and at the opening of the Surangama Sutra.
Practice Period participants will receive an invitation a few days before the ceremony with instructions and the text of the ceremony.
This ceremony takes place after Morning Zazen on the same Zoom link.
