Blue card with the text "ceremonies"

PLEASE NOTE NEW DATE & TIME

An annual gathering and ceremony to honor Indigenous Peoples Day, led by Jaune Evans. The ceremony will take the place of the weekly Metta sitting, in the same Zoom meeting room as the Metta sitting and morning zazen.

In this ceremony, Jaune will introduce us to Carnell Chose and his mother, Martha, from Jemez Pueblo in New Mexico. Carnell is an educator, restorative horticulturist, weaver and children’s advocate. His mother is a beautiful tribal elder. They do many of their community activities as a team.

Following the introductions, Jaune, Ruth Ozeki, and Neal Shorstein will offer the Metta Sutta service.

For Zoom Access

Please log on early and remain on mute to help create the space for the ceremony.
