2023 Bay Area Sesshin: Santa Sabina Rooming Poll: Closed

MONDAY, MARCH 27 | 5:00 PM – SUNDAY, APRIL 2 | 12:00 PM (PT)

SANTA SABINA CENTER IN SAN RAFAEL

The poll is now closed.

As we prepare for the 2023 Sesshin at Santa Sabina (March 27-April 2), we are asking everyone planning to attend to respond to this poll on rooming options.

Your timely response will give EDZ volunteers a sense of how to best manage the registration process to meet demand in light of the limitations of space.

Why and How to Share a Room

By making arrangements to share a room, you will be making space for someone who might otherwise have to be turned away.

Due to COVID considerations, some of you might want to make arrangements with a specific roommate in advance. The registration process will support this but it is not required. Otherwise, the registrars can assign a roommate for you.

This does not commit you to a particular option but will give us a sense of the numbers in advance.

Fees & Dana

Fees for Sesshin cover only the direct costs of room and board at Santa Sabina and are therefore not tax-deductible. In addition, we encourage you to make a donation to support the increased costs to Everyday Zen of this offering, including dana for Norman and his teachings and for operational expenses.

  • Single rooms: $1,230 (a limited number will be available)
  • Double rooms: $1,080 (arrangements with a partner supported but not required)

There are no dormitory accommodations. Unfortunately, due to safety considerations, our traditional oryoki meal forms cannot be supported by the center at this time.

Please note: Completing this poll does not guarantee your place at Santa Sabina.

For general information on the Sesshin, please see: Announcing 2023 Bay Area Sesshin. If you have questions about this poll or registration for sesshin, please email the registrars.

Please submit your response by Tuesday, February 7.
