Three Week Summer Practice Period July 2014



This is a great opportunity to study with both Norman and Kaz.

One may participate in all of the Practice Period or participate in the zazenkais and sesshins individually.

Programs included within this Summer Practice Period are:
7/4 - 7/6/2014 - Zazenkai Weekend (or Daylong on 7/5)
7/11 - 7/13/2014 - Zazenkai Weekend (or Daylong on 7/12)
7/17 - 7/23/2014 - Sesshin with Sensei Kazuaki Tanahashi and Roshi Zoketsu Norman Fischer

There are options to do the full three weeks, weekend sesshins (7/4-6, 7/11-13) or daylongs (7/5, 7/12) or the weeklong sesshin (7/17-23)

Upaya has generously offered a 25% discount to Norman's students. The tuition for the three weeks is $630 and includes meals, programs, and dormitory lodging. For those who cannot stay the entire time, the day rate is $35 per day.

Practice Periods are times when the stream of practice, study, training, samu is steady and concentrated at Upaya. These two practice periods include four periods of zazen a day, morning samu, afternoon seminars, study and training, interviews with teachers and Practice Mentors, daylong intensive practices (zazenkais), and one sesshin.
